I want to eliminate my current 50 gallon gas water heater and replace it with a gas tankless water heater. We are adding a mater bath to our bedroom with a 6 foot soaking tub. We have a 3 bedroom house and only two people live in the house. The 50 gallon tank currently is satisfactory, but it is starting to leak and I doubt it will handle the soaking tub. I want an estimate on the cost of a tankless hot water heater installed.

We've just bought a house with 2 hot water heaters that are about 15 years old. We'd like to get advice about, and an estimate for, what kind of water heating solution is best for the house. Would it be possible to have a consultation this week?

More homeowners in America use electric hot water heaters than any other model. This is because electric water heaters are seen as less expensive and safer than gas models. The cost of purchasing an electric water heater is much lesser than a gas covered model. Installation costs are also cheaper because of the relative simplicity of installing an electric model. However, bear in mind that while installing an electric tankless water heater, you may need to reconfigure the electric wiring of your home.
The first point in favor of an electric hot water heater is the cost factor. It costs much less to purchase an electric water heater which can typically cost between $500 and $700. Compare this with a gas water heater that costs more than $1000 on an average. The cost of installing an electric water heater is also much lesser. However, in the case of electric tankless water heaters, you may need to determine if the wiring of your home can support a tankless system. There are also other factors like voltage, amperage and circuit breaker requirements that are involved.
